TABLE OF CONTENTS

The Cambridgeshire FA referee registration window opens on Tuesday 1st June 2023. Whilst the registration window is open throughout the full season, please note that as of 1st July 2023 we move into the 2023/24 footballing season and if you have not registered for season 202/23 prior to 1st July then you will not be permitted to officiate any matches, including pre-season friendlies and tournaments, until you have done so.

In order to register you simply need to log into the Whole Game System and complete the registration process. Please ensure that all personal details are up to date when completing the re-registration process.

How to Register

In order to register for the 2023/24 season, you will need to visit http://refereeregistration.thefa.com and login with you email address and password. These are the same details that you use for Whole Game (WGS), FA Education or FA My Account. If you are unsure on your login credentials, you will need to use the password reset function available via the link above. Staff are unable to reset passwords themselves.

Referee Registration costs £20.00 per season.

Safeguarding

In order to re-register all match officials must have an in date Safeguarding Qualification. This can be checked by visiting https://myaccount.thefa.com/#/account-management/dbs-safeguarding

Depending on the type of Safeguarding Qualification you have completed most recently, will depend upon which type of qualification you must complete:

  • If you have completed the Safeguarding For All, and this has expired, you are required to complete the Safeguarding Children Course.
  • If you have completed the Introduction to Safeguarding, and this has expired, you are required to complete the Safeguarding Children Course.
  • If you have completed the Safeguarding Children Workshop, and this has expired, you are required to complete the Safeguarding Recertification.

The above new qualifications can be accessed using the links below:

If you officiate within youth football then prior to being allowed to register you will need to ensure that you have a valid FA DBS – All referees, aged 16 or older, operating within youth football will require an in-date and FA accredited DBS.
