Accessing the Online Learning

Prior to gaining the booking link, you are required to complete online learning via the account of the individual that is attending the course. 


Please use the below guidance to access the course yourself.


At no stage should you need to create a new account for any learner. Should you believe that this is the case, please email Referees@CambridgeshireFA.com who will be able to check to see if an account is already in existence. Everyone who plays football will have an FA account in place already.

1. The person attending the course is over 18

1.1 - I know what my login credentials are.

In order to access the login learning, please visit the two below links and login with your email address and password.

If you already have an active Safeguarding qualification from a coaching role, then this is not required. To check this, please visit http://myaccount.thefa.com and click on Safeguarding


1.2 - I don't know what my login credentials are.

    1.2.1 - I do know what my email address is that is linked to my FA Account.

  1. Visit http://myaccount.thefa.com 
  2. Click on "Forgotten Password"
  3. Enter your email address
  4. At this stage you will receive an email with a 6 digit code. If you do not receive this, please check your junk
  5. Enter the code onto the webpage when requested
  6. At this stage, it will ask you to create a new password.


    1.2.2 - I do not know what my email address is that is linked to my FA Account

  1. Visit http://myaccount.thefa.com
  2. Click on "Sign in Using FAN"
  3. Click on "I do not know my FAN"
  4. Enter your personal details as requested
  5. Click on "Next"
  6. This stage will show your email address with characters privatised, if this email is no longer correct, please email Referees@CambridgeshireFA.com with your correct email address
  7. Once you've had confirmation, complete the Steps1.1

2. The person attending the course is under 18

2.1 - As a parent, I know what my login credentials are.

  1. Visit http://myaccount.thefa.com and login with your credentials
  2. Underneath the banner with your FAN and Date of Birth, there is a section labelled Individuals. If your young person is showing here:
    1. Click on their profile
    2. Add their email address to the row labelled "Email" within "Contact Details"
  3. If your young person is not showing here:
    1. Click "Add another Individual"
    2. Search for your young person using their personal details
    3. Click "Add Individual"
    4. If at this stage it advises that you need to verify this, please email Referees@CambridgeshireFA.com with your young persons name and DOB along with your own FAN.
    5. Once you've received confirmation that this has taken place, complete Step 2 as per above.
    6. Once all of the above has been completed, complete Steps 2.3 as outlined below

2.2 - As a parent, I do not know what my login credentials are.

  1. Visit http://myaccount.thefa.com
  2. Click on "Sign in Using FAN"
  3. Click on "I do not know my FAN"
  4. Enter your personal details as requested
  5. Click on "Next"
  6. This stage will show your email address with characters privatised, if this email is no longer correct, please email Referees@CambridgeshireFA.com with your correct email address
  7. Once you've had confirmation, complete the Steps1.1
  8. Once Step 7 has also been completed, complete Steps 2.1

2.3 - I also do know what my child's login credentials are

  1. Ensure you are logged out of your parent account.
  2. Login with the young persons credentials and then visit the below links:

2.4 - I also do not know what my child's login credentials are

Complete the steps outlined in 2.2 but instead of using the parents credentials, please use the details of the young people. You must ensure that you have completed Step 2.1 first (and if necessary, 2.2)
